Only ONE month until Opening Day 2026! Hope all of you are excited for this upcoming Summer Season which begins Sunday, June 7th. You should all be eager to see the many exciting improvements & changes that have happened during this past winter. Construction on the new rooms downstairs in the clubhouse is expected to be completed by the end of this week. ON SCHEDULE! Big shout out to Dorey’s Handyman Services for a job well done.  SPECIAL CLEANING DAY ANNOUNCEMENT & CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS! That being said, all the construction/drywall dust now requires a SPECIAL CLEANING DAY. A Special Cleaning Day is scheduled for Monday, May 11th. We need volunteers to help dust & clean floors, walls, ceiling fans, tables, dressers, chairs, beds, etc. downstairs. Anyone who has ever lived through construction/remodeling knows drywall dust finds it way everywhere! Dressers, beds, chairs, etc. need to be relocated to the newly designated rooms, as well. Everything was stored in the restrooms while construction was underway. If we can get 12 – 15 volunteers the work should be able to be knocked out in a day. A talk entitled, “The Railroad Comes to Delaware” will be given by Doug Poore, the curator of the Railroad Museum in Harrington, this Saturday, May 9th at 1:00 PM at the Milford Public Library. Doug always gives a great talk. If you can fit it into your schedule you will not be disappointed. Thank you to Member, Mitch Edmondson for sharing this information. We are excited that the downstairs remodel along with repairs are completed. It looks great! A much-needed improvement! We have a list of projects that we would like to have completed before we open. Will need 3-4 men two different days.Trim bottom kitchen door to keep from rubbing floor.Repair rotten wood dining room roof, south and east side.Replace ceiling fan in dining room.Paint patio bench red.Paint brackets to dining room air conditioners (rusted) Club HousePaint rear patio steps.Wash porch ceiling, walls, and floor.Front porch scrape and paint vent pipesMulch needed front of Club House Touch up paint, front wall under porch.Fix men’s bathroom railing and paint black.Fix shower head in men’s bathroom.Put edging and stone down outside of room numbers 2, 3, 4, and 5 to prevent dirt splattering windows and buildingMount AED (Automated External Defibrillator) on wall (location to be determined)Downstairs paint bench next to air conditioning unitReplace any mini blinds that need repairs.Build a protection box and paint for main water pipe in room 10.Seal porch columns with clear sealer.Fix roof men’s shower is leaking.
